According to the Revenue Department, only a few thousand of the self-reported tax forms were submitted to the state during each of the last four July-June fiscal years. Between July and November of the current fiscal year, when online shopping took off because of the pandemic, just 1,684 use-tax forms for online purchases were submitted to the state.
