Entrepreneurship program continues to be among nation’s best – Ball State University News

Ball State University’s entrepreneurship program earned recognition as one of the nation’s best by the Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine.

The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur ranked Ball State at No. 28 in a list of Top 50 Undergraduate Schools for Entrepreneurship Studies for 2021.

The list identifies the 50 undergraduate and 50 graduate schools that offer the best programs in entrepreneurship studies based on a June through September 2021 survey of more than 300 institutions offering such programs.

“This is a tremendous honor for the University as we continue to offer one of the nation’s best programs for students aspiring to become entrepreneurs,” said Stephen Ferris, the Bryan Dean of the Miller College of Business at Ball State. “It is also exciting to get this kind of recognition for all of the hard work and planning that the program’s leadership and faculty have done. We are very optimistic about the future of entrepreneurship studies here on campus.”

Entrepreneurship Center director Matt Marvel, the George A. Ball Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship, said the program has been nationally ranked since its inception in the 1980s.

“Our program is known across the nation for integrating professional connections, rigorous coursework, and hands-on learning to prepare expert, innovative entrepreneurs who are driven to lead businesses and improve our world,” he said. “Our graduates go on to leadership positions in a variety of industries as well as starting their own businesses.”

Entrepreneur magazine, the Princeton Review’s publishing partner on the project, has reported these rankings annually since 2006. Entrepreneur has posted an online feature about the list on its website at www.entrepreneur.com/topcolleges. A print feature will publish in Entrepreneur’s December issue on newsstands November 24.

Information and methodology for the rankings can be found on The Princeton Review’s website.
